What is ReinLite
ReinLite is a polypropylene micro fiber about 20 µm in diameter. One kilogram contains hundreds of millions of fibers. During mixing, they disperse evenly throughout the entire mix and form a three-dimensional network. This network matters most in the first hours after placing, when the concrete is still plastic, loses water quickly and cracks most easily.
ReinLite doesn’t change the mix design, needs no extra water and has almost no effect on the appearance of the surface.

Benefits
Fewer shrinkage cracks
Protects the mix during the first 24 hours, when concrete is most vulnerable.
Uniform mix
Less segregation and bleeding, a more even surface.
Stronger surface
Better resistance to abrasion, impact and edge chipping.
Freeze-thaw resistance
Fewer capillary microcracks, so the concrete stands up better to water and frost.
Fire protection
When heated, the fibers melt (at about 160 °C) and leave channels through which steam escapes. As a result, concrete spalls less and does not fail explosively. This approach is provided for in Eurocode 2 (EN 1992-1-2).
Low dose, low cost
Usually less than 1 kg per cubic meter, so the added cost is minimal.
How and where to use ReinLite
Where to use it
- Sand-cement screeds, underfloor heating screeds, semi-dry screeds
- Concrete floors and slabs in residential construction
- Plasters, masonry mortars, tile adhesives, dry construction mixes
- Paving stones, curbs, precast concrete products, vibropressed products
- Foam concrete and aerated concrete
- Swimming pools, reservoirs, tanks
- Tunnels and structures with fire resistance requirements
When not to use it
- Does not replace rebar or steel mesh. To reinforce hardened concrete, use ReinStrong or ReinFlex.
We are upfront about the limits of each fiber, so you don't overpay or end up with cracks.
Recommended dosage
| Application | Dosage |
|---|---|
| Concrete, slabs | 0.6–0.9 kg/m³ |
| Screeds, underfloor heating | 0.9–1.5 kg/m³ |
| Plasters, dry mixes, adhesives | 0.6–1 kg/m³ (or 0.1–0.2% of the dry mix weight) |
| Fire protection of concrete | 1–2 kg/m³ |
The exact dosage depends on loads, thickness, concrete grade and subbase. We will match it to your project.
How to add it to concrete
- Add the fiber together with the dry components (sand, crushed stone), or put it into the drum before or after batching.
- Don't dump the fiber into plain water in a single heap.
- After adding the fiber, mix for at least another 3–5 min (about 15% longer than the normal cycle).
- Compatible with all standard admixtures.
- For hand-mixed screed: first mix the fiber with the sand, then add the cement and water.

ReinLite FAQ
Does ReinLite replace rebar?
No. Micro fiber works against cracks in fresh concrete. To reinforce hardened concrete, use ReinStrong or ReinFlex.
How much micro fiber do I need for a 50 m² screed, 5 cm thick?
The screed volume is 50 × 0.05 = 2.5 m³. At a dose of 0.9 kg/m³, you need about 2.3 kg of fiber.
Which ReinLite length should I choose?
3 mm for plasters, dry mixes and adhesives. 12 mm for screeds and concrete. The longer 24 mm fibers suit concrete with coarse aggregate.
